In a little under 4 months 10,500 runners will converge on Chamonix for the iconic Mont-Blanc Marathon which takes place from 25 - 28 June 2020. Set against a backdrop of breath-taking scenery, runners from across the globe will come to test their mettle on any one of the 8 challenging courses on offer.  

All in all over 80 different nations will take part, cheered on by more than 30,000 spectators.  For the third year in a row the 42km Mont-Blanc marathon will form part of the Golden Trail World Series which brings together the six most iconic short trail races in the world and attracts the sport’s biggest names.  Over the three days of racing in the Mont-Blanc valley each and every runner, be they amateurs, high-level athletes or world champions, will share in a unique and extraordinary experience filled with emotion.

- 16:00 : start of the KM Vertical

Saturday 27 June 2020 :
- 8:00 : start of the Mont-Blanc 23km
- 9:30 : start of the Mini Cross
- 13:00 : start of the Mont-Blanc 10km
- 20:00 : start of Duo étoilé

Sunday 28 June 2020 :
- 7:00 : start of the Mont-Blanc 42km
- 10:00 : start of the Young Race Marathon

The Mont-Blanc 42km, the only French event in the Golden Trail World Series!

For the past three years, the Mont-Blanc 42km, the crown jewel of the Mont-Blanc Marathon events, has been enshrined amongst the world’s best trail races.  It is the only French stage of the Golden Trail World Series and as such attracts an exceptional field of athletes (with an ITRA rating of more than 890) to the trails of the Mont-Blanc valley.  The Golden Trail race circuit is comprised of 6 stages across the world with the best runners qualifying for the final race that will take place in Argentina.
